A complete list of UK military actions since World War 2. More than one a year in the service of white supremacy and capitalism.
A local anti-lockdown, covid-is-just-a-cold right wing blogger is worrying about the mystery excess deaths. What could be causing all these deaths?
Twenty-five bloody years its taken them….
Insects in figs!
I had a try at Oregon Trail, a notoriously difficult early computer game. I completed it first time by making sensible decisions. There may be a lesson there.
Decapitated skeletons with jars instead of heads.
Years later Neil M. Judd wrote a lively account of being a young archaeologist
working with Professor Cummings. At one point the crew camped
in Butler Wash. A Ute Indian came by on horseback to survey their camp.
Through hand signals and a few words of Navajo that the Ute knew, Judd
made it clear they were looking for “Anasazis, ‘the ancient ones,’ dead
people.” The Native American understood. “He knew where to find one
and, for a dollar would show me. So I grabbed a shovel and plodded along
behind his horse, up and over one sand dune and then another,” Judd
related in his memoirs. The Ute urged him on, and though fatigued,
Judd kept walking until, “Finally, when I was becoming a bit weary with
this endless pursuit, he stopped outside a wire fence, and pointed to the
Bluff City cemetery.” The budding archaeologist failed to see the humor
in the Ute’s escapade.

AI reckons we’re 50/50 to hit 2 degrees higher by 2050 even if current targets for 1.5 degrees are met (which they won’t be).
'Patrick Nielsen Hayden sends a flyer about _Nude
Trek 2: The Wrath of Klothes_, the first nudist Trek convention, run by
The Slugs Nudist Club in chilly Washington State (22 Jan). Perhaps the
most macabre aspect is his covering note: "NOT A HOAX".' (_Ansible_ 67,

Miners who died in a mining disaster on payday in 1934 died with their wages in their pockets and their families were not given replacement money, as the miners were deemed to have received their wages already. Widows without children were evicted from their homes, as these were owned by the mine. Just a tiny slice of working class history in case you’d forgotten why we fight.
Carnivorous bees.
Liz Truss is like Alan Partridge, in that every time you start to feel sorry for her, she says or does something that reminds you what an absolute prick she is. In this case, she has blamed the left-wing economic establishment for her fall. In part, of course, she is correct. A number of decisions were made by high ranking types in the financial world that they knew would lead to a collapse of the pound and would result in Truss’s policies being blamed. The markets are not natural forces, the invisible hand is manipulated and controlled by humans. They did this not because they are left-wingers, but because they didn’t trust Liz Truss. She wasn’t one of the boys, hadn’t been to the right schools, couldn’t be relied upon to do as she was told. She had to go, and they knew how to do it! The same will happen if a left-winger ever gets elected.
