The term cuckoo bee is used for a variety of different bee lineages which have evolved the kleptoparasitic behaviour of laying their eggs in the nests of other bees, reminiscent of the behavior of cuckoo birds.

Jacob Rich-Snob reckons that the EU are trying to make the UK feel bad, using facts and laws and expecting us to stick to a treaty. I think he’s wrong about that, because anyone with the slightest grasp of British history knows that the British aristocracy only care about laws, facts, and treaties as methods to get what they want, and they’ve had the ability to feel bad beaten out of them at Eton so that they can wade through the fields of dead and dying without giving a fuck. Snob is just saying this because he knows that Tory voters like people feeling bad, it lets them know they’re winning, especially if they’re foreigners. There’s a lot of authoritarian hard-ons going on here.
As always happens when I research the Alternative Eurovision is that I get exposed to the existence of millions of different sub-genres of metal music. I am however starting to understand how they differ.
Symphonic is where the guitarist knows more than 4 chords.
Melodic means that when they wrote the songs they actually had a tune which may not have been completely obliterated until the second time they rehearsed it.
Grind means there never was a tune even vaguely associated with the sing.
Ambient means there was no tune and furthermore there is nothing resembling a rhythm.
Core as a suffix means the band want to be taken seriously...against all the odds.
Garage means they have no interest in learning about how to produce a recording.
Brutal means they just want to dress in studded leather and make very loud noises.
Pretty much spot on, wouldn’t you say?
“My experience of working from home is you spend an awful lot of time making another cup of coffee and then, you know, getting up, walking very slowly to the fridge, hacking off a small piece of cheese, then walking very slowly back to your laptop and then forgetting what it was you’re doing."

On this day, 13 May 1985, Philadelphia police attacked the home of Black liberation and environmentalist group MOVE with automatic weapons, then dropped a bomb on it, killing five adults and six children, destroying 61 homes in the predominantly Black neighbourhood, and making 250 people homeless.
Almost 500 police officers fired over 10,000 rounds of ammunition into the house, which was filled with women and children, while other officers blew holes in the walls with explosives. The police commissioner then ordered the house to be bombed, which they did using an improvised device made from C4 given to them by the FBI.
Only two people survived the blast and ensuing fire: Ramona Africa, and Michael Ward, aged 13. While no officials were prosecuted, Ramona Africa was subsequently jailed for seven years on riot and conspiracy charges. The incident occurred during the tenure of Philadelphia's first Black mayor, a Democrat named Wilson Goode.
The children killed were named Katricia Dotson (Tree), Netta, Delitia, Phil, and Tomasa Africa and the adults were Rhonda, Teresa, Frank, CP, Conrad, and John Africa.
In April 2021, it was revealed that anthropologists at Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania had the bones of one of the children, unbeknownst to the families.
